Why Choose a Fabric Structure?

Why choose a tensile structure over traditional brickwork?

Foreword: our Production

Favaretti’s tensile structure division designs, produces and installs steel structures with fabric coated PVC. These structures can be re-installed in different locations according to necessities and represent an excellent alternative to traditional brick or wood buildings.

Structures for industry: available widths of free light above 50 mt, customizable in every single detail. Designed and made to create highly habitable working environments.

Sport polyvalent: available widths of free light above 50 mt, customizable in every single detail; they are the ideal solution for the most varied of sporting activities.

Free internal light:  unlike traditional cement and wood structures, tensile structures are capable of reaching large widths of free internal light at a low cost. The absence of central or bearing pillars allows to maximize the space available.

Natural illumination and lower maintenance costs: The translucent cover and the white interior allows for natural light throughout the day and completely eliminates the need for artificial light. Brick or wood warehouses on the other hand can account for very high electicity bills.

Easy reinstalling: Tensile structures are designed to be permanent but, at the same time, they can easily be disassembled and reassembled elsewhere with minimal environmental impacts. Such operations are unthinkable when you are dealing with wood or brickwork.

Rapid installation and less bureaucracy: Our tensile structures require less time to install and significantly less bureaucratic practices compared to conventional structures.

Lower planning costs: Planning costs can be significantly reduced compared to prefabricated brick or wood constructions.

No need for maintenance: The textile cover practically requires no maintenance: dirt and dust doesn’t stick, avoiding expensive maintenance costs.

Optional foundations: A steel tensile structure’s natural flexibility allows to avoid expensive cement foundations, keeping costs and time required to install low.

High seismic resistance: Due to the fact that they are structures with significantly less mass compared to traditional structures, seismic effects on the structure are negligible.
